Join writing instructor and author Marn Norwich for a free intro to a six-part creative writing medley workshop series. The Power-Pack is constructed around eight "rules" for writers and how we can incorporate them into our writing and our lives. Through prompts, writing games and the perspectives of great writers, the Power-Pack encourages participants to get inspired, write, experiment and keep on writing!
Classes include:
• Exploration in the genres of poetry, creative nonfiction, expressive writing + your choice genre
• Input, ideas and inspiration on the creative writing process
• Writing exercises and/or prompts to inspire
• Optional, non-critical reading of our work
• Opportunity to meet fellow writers
The free intro workshop is generously hosted by Vancity and will be held at the Vancity Community Stage, at 1675 Commercial Drive, on Wednesday March 6, 2019, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
As a courtesy to others who may want to register, kindly register for only one of the three free January intros. There will be a Q + A period in which you may inquire about the other courses.
If you are registered for this free evening and can't come, please cancel as soon as possible so that others can register. If you're on the waitlist, keep your eye on the site, as there are inevitably last minute cancelations. No-shows will not be invited to register for further free intros.
The full workshop runs six Wednesday evenings, from March 20 through April 24, 2019 and will be held at a private venue at 38 + Victoria Drive (exact address will be sent after registration).
Reserve your seat for the full workshop (12 hours): $200 + GST= $210.00 ($10 savings)
