She Writes Bravely: Hate Notes & Love Letters

Details

A spin-off of She Writes Bravely (a restorative women’s writing circle and wellness fair), these satellite workshops are writing-only.

For this writing workshop, we’ll be writing hate notes (to release what no longer serves) and love letters (to call in more of what you need to hear).

In this 90-minute workshop you can expect to:

  • Gather with other vulnerable women called to express themselves
  • Be expertly guided by a local, award-winning author and international book coach/editor
  • Set the intentions for a sacred writing circle
  • Step into a little bit of the ‘woo’ by pulling an oracle card to help inspire and inform your writing
  • Write at least one liberating hate note to release what no longer serves
  • Write at least one empowering love letter to call in more of what you need to hear
  • Go deep and get vulnerable

No one will be forced to share anything they’ve written with each other or the facilitator.

Here are the deets:
🗓️Date: Monday, June 16th
🕛Time: 6:30-8:00 pm
📍Place: The Sanctuary at Chase Mill, 1 Mill St., Burlington, VT 05401
Cost: $25

**💫What to bring:**💫

  • A picture of yourself from childhood (between ages 5 and 15). Let your intuition guide you as you select a photo. You can have this photo saved on your phone if you don’t have a physical copy.
  • A notebook or stationery
  • Your favorite writing instrument, such as pencils, pens, colored pencils, markers.
  • Your whole heart, an open mind, your creative spirit, and your humanity.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP FACILITATOR:
Alyssa Berthiaume (known by most as Ally and published under A.Y.) is a mompreneur, author, ghostwriter, and writing guide with a superpower for hearing between the lines. She guides badass and brilliant, loving, and soulful people in writing their incredible personal stories of grit, hope, and triumph meant to inspire their audience, transform the masses, and change the 'effin' world.

She is the founder of The Write Place, Right Time, her virtual boutique professional writing services where she serves entrepreneurs, leaders, and visionaries internationally to bring their books to the world via her book coaching, developmental editing, and ghostwriting services. Her genre of choice is nonfiction with a specialty in memoirs.

Berthiaume is also the award-winning author of Dear Universe, I Get it Now: Letters on the Art and Journey of Being Brave and Being Me and the award-winning co-author of Do Not Write a Book…Until You Read This One. She has an M.F.A. and B.A. in creative writing and graduate certificates in English Composition and Women’s Studies.

She is a native Vermonter, practicing Ally and advocate, recovering middle child, wannabe superhero, and a mom who’s pretty sure she’s “winging it”. If you can catch her away from the keyboard, she's probably drinking Maple Lattes in a coffee shop, watching The Princess Bride for the thousandth time, spending too many hours in a bookstore adding more books to her must-read list, or having a movie and game night with her husband and son.
