Writing to Heal Anxiety Workshop
Do you love to journal or write? Do you also suffer from anxiety? Then welcome to the Writing to Heal Anxtiey program! No writing experience is necessary; all you need is a desire to help heal your anxiety.
So how does this therapeutic writing program help ease anxiety?
· Provides self-discovery and awareness so you can understand your anxiety triggers, where they come from, and how to deal with them to feel more in control of your life.
· Leads you out of isolation. So many people with anxiety hide in many ways and so their lives become very small. This group fosters connections with others in safe ways.
· Allows you to find clarity around significant life changes that cause anxiety, such as looking for a new job or moving.
· Releases troublesome thoughts and emotions onto the page so you don’t spend precious time continuously ruminating about the same issues.
· It allows you to learn new tools to help you with your anxiety so that you feel calmer and can deal with life’s challenges.
· Sparks creativity, allowing you to see yourself in new, less anxious, and more positive ways.
What will you get from this program?
· Six weeks of group writing and group support
· Weekly Homework Prompts
· One forty-five-minute coaching session from a trained Life Coach with a background in psychology and first-hand knowledge of anxiety.
· Tools to help ease your anxiety and become more confident in your life
I am a trained Life Coach and a Writing to Heal Coach with a background in psychology. I am familiar with IFS and Somatic Experiencing. I believe therapeutic writing is one of the most powerful tools available to help heal anxiety.
This program will host a small group of no more than five people. The group will be held on zoom and will meet online starting on Tuesday, September 13th., from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., and every Tuesday after that for five weeks.
The rate for this program is $247. I know that finances can be complicated for folks right now, so if you need financial assistance let me know.

“April is a warm, caring leader. After giving writing prompts geared towards therapeutic healing she encourages her participants to spontaneously begin and write whatever pops up. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned writer, this program meets everyone where they are. It’s fun, interactive, and very healing. You feel free after taking a program with April. She leads with compassion, humor and stresses that we are safe in a non-judgmental environment. I highly recommend anyone who has tried other methodologies of therapy to try one of her programs. You will be so happy you stumbled upon April’s class just as I am.” –Gail Cristelli
“April is warm and kind, and she has a talent for asking soul investigative and insightful questions with compassion. The environment that she creates in her groups is welcoming and non-judgemental. The writing that I did with April helped me find clarity and direction, and the workshop atmosphere helped me start to build a safe community. I will definitely be participating in workshops that April facilitates in the future, and I will continue recommending her to friends. --Maria Mosca
