Details
WE'RE BACK and with a Different Name but Same Organizer and Events <3
Writing Sapphic - ATL presents a January's Prompt Based Feedback Circle
- Location: Monday Night Brewing - The Grove in the Conference Room
- When: January 25th, 2026 - Sunday at 5-8PM.
Writing Prompts to pick from for this meeting (You can write all, but only choose one to share, or combine them all in one story):
- The Family Heirloom Hold's a Secret
- The Movie you're watching is a Memory You Don't Remember
- It's your nephews wedding and he's marrying your ex lover's Niece.
I will provide a google drive where you can add your story to. I will send the link closer to the date of meeting/in comments as well.
Please come prepared, as we will be sharing work inspired by the creative writing prompts and receiving/giving feedback in a feedback circle.
*Please note: It's okay if you didn't finish the story! You can still come and share what you have for feedback*
------------------------------------------------------------------------
A space for Sapphic Creatives to hone their craft and build community and socialize in Metro ATL.
Have you been wanting to get back into writing? Looking for a sapphic writing community? Join our events to get inspired with our writing prompts!
Our aim is to create a safe space for sapphic people to foster creativity, encourage self-expression, and a sense of community, discover new ideas, share your work, and receive supportive and constructive feedback from fellow participants in the Feedback circle.
General set up:
- This will be a monthly Feedback Circle for 3 hours.
- Limit of 15 sapphic individuals.
- Event is FREE. But Please support the venue for their generosity and purchase beverage(s) or food.
- Please come 15 to 30 minutes earlier to purchase a drink/food from venue. Please be mindful of our limited time at venue. All attendees deserve feedback on their stories and to not feel rushed.
- Event will begin with intros and what type of feedback each person would like to receive.
- Please bring a device to read your story (phone, Ipad, laptop, printed copy). Be sure to submit to google doc link prior or at beginning of event so everyone has a copy of your prompt/written work.
- We recommend bringing a notepad/make notes of feedback from the feedback circle.
We encourage short stories to be 250-2,000 words maximum. Poetry/other forms of writing is welcome just as long as it's prompt related :)
No prior writing experience is necessary – all skill levels are welcome.
***Repetitive NO SHOW/UNRSVP's Penalty Effective JANUARY 2026***
Events are ALWAYS free. We work hard keeping events accessible financially.
First No Show/UNRSVP is given the benefit of the doubt! Sickness, accidents and emergencies happen! Members who have perfect attendance, and or are new attendees can RSVP for free.
However, there is now a 2 Consecutive No show/UNRSVP $5 donation penalty to attend a future event that will go towards Writing Sapphic - ATL to cover costs of Meetup Subscription and Canva Subscription. After the donation, the process starts all over again and you will be given the benefit of the doubt again! Spots are limited, please be mindful of the work and costs that go into organizing! Ferni will DM and let you know of penalty if it applies to you. If donation is not made within 72 hours or whatever timeline discussed with Ferni, you will be moved to the waitlist/unrsvp'd until donation is made. It is nonrefundable.
Meetup membership is FREE as well. Please do not get a meetup subscription, the costs do not go towards us. If on Waitlist, you can request to donate to be moved to Going list. It is nonrefundable.
Registration/RSVP is required to attend the Writing Sapphic - ATL events.
