What we’re about

Hi and Welcome to all Women Therapists of a Certain Age! ;—)

Are you newer to the Boston area and hoping to meet other therapists to connect with? Or Boston has always been your home but you’re looking for new friends with common interests and a shared professional identity? As a fairly recent New York-to-Boston transplant, I’ve realized how much I miss getting together in person with my core group of therapist friends. Especially as we get older and as we navigate those “WTF is happening in the world right now” moments, I find that my therapist friends are the ones I most want to connect with, as they possess the openness, curiosity, empathy, and intelligence that I think most of us share! ;-)

As we know, engaging in psychotherapy practice - whether in a clinic, private practice, at home or in the office - can be isolating.
This is not a peer supervision or consultation group; it’s not a professional group at all. Rather, it’s a social group comprised of women who happened to have made the same life commitment to becoming psychotherapists — and love it, with all its rewards and challenges. We won’t share client or case information, of course, but we can share those common themes, insights, complaints, fears, anxieties, hopes and frustrations about our work, this world, and our place in it. And hopefully have fun (in and around Boston) doing it!
