Details

Join us for an invasive pull at Bell Slough in Chilliwack, July 14th! This event will be supporting the neighbours who have joined together to form Friends of Bell Slough and already managed to work with the city to conduct a study on how this waterway health could be improved. In times long ago, Bell Slough was a side channel of the Fraser River, providing important rearing and spawning habitat for BC wild salmon.

This event starts at 10 am and we will be meeting in the backyard of our host - Wendy. Please bring boots, gloves, clippers and if you have them hip waders, kayaks or a canoe! Water and snacks will be provided. There will also be a presentation from Friends of Bell Slough updating the progress of their work and education from the Fraser Valley Invasive Species Society. Thank-you for supporting historic salmon habitat in Chilliwack!
