Help out at Canada Day in Coquitlam on Tuesday, July 1st!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help out at our table in the Eco Zone of the City of Coquitlam's Canada Day Event on Sunday, July 1, 2025!

📍 Location: Town Centre Park (exact booth location TBC)

🕘 Time: Arrive at our booth at 3:30 PM and assist us with running our booth until 8:30 PM (festival runs from 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM).

💬 What you'll be doing:
– Helping pack down our display.
– Greeting event-goers and chatting about salmon and watersheds.
– Handing out info and helping guests with our display.
– Encouraging folks to get involved in protecting wild salmon!

– Volunteer hours (if needed).
– A chance to talk about salmon all day. 🐟

✅ Important Info
– Confirmation Required: To ensure your spot, please email meghan@watershedwatch.ca within 3 days of signing up to confirm your participation.
– Registration Confirmation: After registering, you will receive an email from us confirming your status as a volunteer for Canada Day, along with further instructions and information.
– Parking Details: Parking may be available in the lots off of Trevor Wingrove Way and at the Douglas College surface lots. 🅿️
However, please note that parking may be limited at the event.
– Public Transit Access: The Canada Day event is a ten-minute walk from the Lafarge Lake-Douglas Skytrain station with a marked path leading to the event grounds. 🚌
– Carpooling Access: Carpooling may be available. Please contact meghan@watershedwatch.ca to inquire.
