Join us for a community storm drain marking event to help protect our local waterways and the salmon that rely on them!
During this hands-on activity, we will be marking storm drains to clearly indicate to community members that they lead to salmon-bearing streams, ensuring that everyone understands the importance of keeping these drains free from pollutants. Your participation will help safeguard the Coquitlam's waterways and the salmon that inhabit them.
What to Expect:
- Activity: Marking storm drains to make it clear that they lead to salmon-bearing streams.
- Supplies: All materials will be provided; no prior experience is necessary.
- Duration: Approximately 2 hours.
- Weather: The event will only take place if the weather is dry, as the markings cannot be placed in the rain.

Running late? We will begin marking drains a few minutes after 10 am. Give Sean a call at 778 697 4364 to meet up if you are running late. We'll be wearing a hi-vis vest and should be easy to spot!
