Linux Installfest hosted by the Dayton Linux Users Group

Details
Windows 10 is nearing end-of-life—time to give your computer a second life!
Don’t send that older PC to the scrap heap. With the free operating system Linux, you can keep your hardware running fast, secure, and useful for years to come.
This event is all about hands-on installs and problem solving. Bring your computer (laptop or desktop) and we’ll walk you through installing Linux, choosing the right distro, and fixing any bumps along the way. Whether you’re brand new to Linux or already dabbling and hitting snags, this is the place to get it working.
What we’ll do:
- Install Linux together, step by step
- Troubleshoot common problems (drivers, Wi-Fi, dual-booting, etc.)
- Share tips for making the transition smooth
- Connect with others who are learning and tinkering, too
All skill levels are welcome! Bringing your own computer is strongly encouraged, but just showing up to observe and ask questions is OK, too! More information can be found at: https://linux.dma1.org/events/
Let’s take those “obsolete” machines and make them awesome again!
