Dayton Microcomputer Association (DMA) General Meeting
Details
How to Geek During Travels
*If you are planning a vacation and want to know how to maintain access to the Internet, including email, through The Dayton Microcomputer Association, Inc. (DMA), the Geeks on Tour can help you prepare for that adventure.
*To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the DMA, the organization is bringing Chris and Jim Gould back to present to its members and guests. The Goulds, also called “Geeks on Tour,” specialize in showing people how to use technology while traveling. The Geeks’ previous DMA presentations emphasized other uses of technology while traveling throughout the United States. During the Tuesday, April 28 meeting, they will be Zooming into our event from the other side of the world while they are on board an ocean liner. During their presentation, the Goulds will also be showing videos and answering questions (live!) about their use of technology during travels.
*The meeting begins at 7:00 PM. Zoom sound and video checks will begin at 6:30 PM.
*If you choose to attend the meeting via Zoom from your home, you can request a Zoom link through the form at www.dma1.org/contact-us (before noon Tuesday, April 28).
*All DMA meetings are free and open to the public.
*About the Geeks…
Meet Chris and Jim (Now, the Geeks on World Tour):
Chris and Jim, have spent 40 years making technology make sense! Their life has unfolded in exciting chapters, always with a tech twist.
*They crisscrossed the country, teaching fellow RVers how to navigate with GPS, plan trips, stay connected, manage photos with Picasa, and master those shiny new smartphones!
* Now in the 2020s, their most thrilling adventure yet is: living on the Villa Vie Odyssey residential cruise ship.
