What we’re about

Welcome to the Cuddle Network! Join us to feel the benefit of touch and cuddling in a safe, obligation-free environment!! Touch is an instinctive, natural language that we can all speak and understand.

Touch is essential for stimulating our nervous system and promoting healthy physical development. It is also critical for our mental and social development. Unfortunately for many people touch is an issue which can cause problems with self-development and the soul’s journey.

One of the most amazing and therapeutic ways to incorporate touch in our lives is through cuddling. Cuddling doesn’t have to be something just you and your romantic/sexual partner share; you can also hug friends and acquaintances or pets!

Did you know that it’s a proven fact that just twenty seconds of physical contact can lift your mood for the whole day? Did you also know that cuddling:
• Releases oxytocin, the hormone that helps you feel good and also connected to others
• Boosts your immune system
• Relieves pain
• Helps you move towards happier and more fulfilling relationships
• Strengthens the bonds with the people you love and who love you
• Reduces stress and anxiety
• Lowers your risk of heart disease

One of the advantages of the Cuddle Network is that it provides participants with the opportunity to experience touch within established and defined boundaries for therapeutic benefit, in other words you have the opportunity to experience all these benefits and the joy of cuddling in a safe obligation-free environment.

Enjoy sinking into the experience at whatever level that feels right for you. We provide you the opportunities to not only connect with others, but also, more importantly with yourself.

It’s run by experienced practitioners and facilitators within a safe and non-sexual environment where everyone’s boundaries are respected and honoured with positive intent. Our events provide a number of different nurturing touch and cuddle exercises set within firm boundary principles. Our aim is to leave you feeling relaxed, with your heart opened and soul nurtured.

We would love you to join us but we do require you to accept our Guidelines below before joining.

Group Guidelines

In our workshops, our intention is to create a safe boundaried space to allow our members to connect with themselves through non-sexual touch and equally it’s important to us that the Group is safe for our members outside our workshops. The workshops support members to connect strongly with their boundaries and be discerning about the type of touch that they want.

Many people associate touch with sex and one of the objectives of this Group is to show that touch does not have to be this way.

We ask all of you not to make speculative approaches or to connect with any members you have met without prior mutual agreement. The majority of our members do not do this, however, there may be the odd individual who might approach you. If you receive an approach in this way, please notify us and we will remove that individual from the Group.

You can also regulate the level of contact you feel comfortable with on MeetUp under Settings (under Privacy). In the “Who can contact you on Meetup?” section you have three settings to choose from:
• Any member of Meetup
• Members of my Meetups
• Only Organisers

Also in the Privacy section there is another section which states: “Show your Meetup groups - On your profile, anyone can see all the Meetup groups you belong to”. You can decide if you want these displayed or not here. In addition you can, if you so choose, keep your interests private too. Finally you can block any single person from contacting you under “Report/Block” under their individual profile.

If you have any concerns or questions about this or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Hugs

Elara & Jon
