West London Queer Project - 6th Birthday Street Party
Details
West London Queer Project (WLQP) is thrilled to invite the public to its free, family-friendly 6th Birthday Street Party on Sunday 30th August, taking place from 12:00 to 21:00 at Old Market Place in Chiswick!
The celebrations kick off from 12:00 to 14:00 with a vibrant programme for families and children.
From 14:00 onwards, the main stage bursts to life with non-stop live entertainment.
“This isn’t just a street party, it’s a celebration of six incredible years of WLQP, right here in the heart of Chiswick where it all began,” said Aubrey Crawley, Founder of WLQP. “It’s our way of giving back to the friends, neighbours and supporters who’ve stood by us from the very beginning. On a personal level, Chiswick has given me so much over the past decade, and I’m incredibly proud to honour both WLQP’s journey and the community that’s helped shape it.”
Whether you're coming with family, friends, or flying solo, this is a day to celebrate community, connection and our story so far, right in the heart of West London.
This year we’re introducing Pay What You Can tickets for our Street Party. The event will always be free to attend because we believe everyone should be able to celebrate, regardless of their circumstances. However, the cost of staging the day is enormous, from entertainment, staging and sound to security, licences, toilets and accessibility. If you’re able to make a contribution, no matter how big or small, it will help us continue creating one of West London’s biggest free LGBTQIA+ community celebrations. Every donation makes a real difference, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support.
Thank you!!
