Hello Dolly! is a classic Broadway show with all the show tunes, humour, luxurious costumes and dancing waiters you look for. Come and meet Dolly, a charismatic, strong-willed and funny matchmaker who comes to Yonkers, New York with a plan. She will convince un-attached ‘half-a-millionaire’ Horace Vandergelder to marry his perfect match…..it’s her, of course. This quintessential, glamorous and funny show has a brassy score and booming chorus, but with a strong and complicated middle-aged heroine leading the story, Hello Dolly! belongs on modern stages.
