Apple has made great improvements to the ease of supporting Dynamic Type in our apps, but has remained fairly quiet on guidance around handling the flexible layouts and design issues that result. This talk will cover the implementation fundamentals, autolayout tips, and design considerations that will enable your apps to be enjoyed by users across a wider spectrum of visual acuity.

Detangling Gesture Recognizers - Shannon Hughes

What happens when you have multiple gesture recognizers on the same view? The iOS SDK includes several ways of managing their interactions, but those aren’t always enough. Using the OmniGraffle iOS app as a case study, we’ll learn how the built-in tools can fall short and how introducing a state machine can bring order and predictability out of the chaos, even with over a dozen gesture recognizers to manage.
