Goodbye Spring, Hello Summer!
Come join the Xplore Wilderness group for a BBQ, potluck, and games (frisbee, bocce ball, etc.) to help celebrate the end of spring and the beginning of summer!
PLEASE NOTE: We are requesting that you:
- sign up on the waitlist;
- e-transfer $12 to: sandie.s.1234@gmail.com
(please include your name in the description and if different on meetup, include that as well); - once the e-transfer is received, Sandie will add you to the attendee list.
Date & Time: Saturday, June 21st at 4:30pm
Where: Gold Bar Park - Picnic Shelter #1

Cost: $12
Cost includes: 2 hot dogs, buns, condiments (ketchup, mustard, relish, mayo), pop / juice box, chips, plates, cutlery, napkins, picnic site cost, plus other supplies.
** If you want veggie dogs, please let us know in advance and we’ll pick some up otherwise the default will be meat.
If any extra money is collected, this will be donated to help keep our FREE XW group going. Our founder, Mohammad, pays a monthly fee so let’s help him out!
Items to Bring:
- a potluck item - appetizer / salad / dessert;
- small BBQ with propane (optional);
- outdoor games/equipment (optional) - e.g. bocce ball, frisbee, etc.;
- cans & bottles (optional - see below).
**DISCLAIMERS:
- This event is first paid, first added to the attendee list - NOT in order of who is on the waitlist so please pay ASAP!
- **Please note that you MUST register (sign up on the Waitlist and pay electronically) for this event if you’re planning on attending as drop-ins are NOT allowed since we have a permit with a max capacity for safety reasons.

- **Re: Dogs - **Absolutely NO dogs are allowed at this event – NO exceptions** - please check the CoE link above for more info.

SIDE NOTE from Sandie: This is absolutely optional but greatly appreciated, I would like to encourage you to bring your cans and bottles to help fundraise for Kids with Cancer Society. I will collect the cans and bottles, and all monies received at the bottle depot will be donated to KWCS to help their Programs they provide the kids with cancer and their families for free - check out this link for more info about what KWCS does.
