Tuckerman Ravine 4/25 - 27 (& Sunday River(possibly w/ free lift ticket))

Details
Tuckerman Ravine is a VERY challenging long trip. The 4000 ft of elevation is grueling and the ski/board down is dangerous and potentially deadly. You are attending this at your own risk. There are no trained guides leading us.
Avalanche conditions vary day to day, and weather may change slope conditions hour to hour, so flexibility is a must for safety. As such, the itinerary below can change.
ITINERARY:
Friday - Arrive at hotel
Saturday - Conditions permitting, start hiking early from Pinkham Notch parking lot (361 NH-16, Gorham, NH 03581) up to Hojo's/Hermit Lake Shelters. Then continue to the bottom of Tuckerman Ravine, rest/prep a bit and then hike up the ravine for the challenging descent.
The plan is to do 2 ascends, but some may only do one. We’ll hang out at the bottom of Tuckerman Ravine for lunch and people watch. Some will bring backpacking burners for hot food, bone brooth and hot chocolate in between runs. Apres/dinner at a local establishment.
Sunday - Go home or ski Sunday River (if it’s still open like last year) with me. Last year it was their closing day and lift tickets were FREE. If conditions didn’t allow a Saturday hike up Tuckerman, we will do it Sunday.
MANDATORY SAFETY GEAR:
You must have the following and know how to use it.
Beacon
Shovel
Probe
Microspikes
Avalanche safety course certification
Backpack to carry skis/board
OPTIONAL GEAR:
Crampons (Forwent last year, will use now)
Touring gear/split boards
SKIING ABILITY :
You must be an expert and VERY comfortable on double black diamond runs out west. DO NOT TEST YOUR ABILITY HERE!!! There are deep crevasses with running water underneath them, cliffs, big ice boulders and skiers falling down the ravine. Transitioning from climbing into ski/snowboard gear can be challenging on steep snowy or icy terrain, and once you climb up, you are committed. Hiking down is more dangerous.
LODGING: Book Your Own and we’ll try to help people find roommates
• Logan booked the Swiss Chalets Village Inn Friday night. Saturday night is TBD
• You can also choose another hotel if you want, but most seem more expensive.
TRANSPORTATION: Is your responsibility, but a Google Sheet will added here and used to organize carpooling.
LIABILITY: By signing up for this trip, you are going at your own risk, and no one but yourself is liable for any injury for you for any part of attending this trip.
