XR Initiative is a collective of XR/VR events for Brighton and Sussex. Hosted by Julian Weaver (Finetuned), Bowen Tan & Echo Cui (Tell Me Lemon).
Our aim is to bring XR/VR and related technologies to the fore in an interesting and engaging way.
Our events take place on a monthly basis to offer keynote talks, workshops and show & tell evenings.

Waving Bear Studio: Try the Game
East Sussex College Lewes, Mountfield Road, Lewes, East Sussex, BN7 2XH, Lewes, GBWaving Bear Studio: Try the Game is a special XR meetup featuring Waving Bear Studio and an exclusive hands-on preview of their latest VR game. The event take place in the cutting-edge immersive virtual space at the Lewes Campus of East Sussex College, bringing together students, developers, and XR enthusiasts.
During the event, the Waving Bear team will share their creative journey, talk about their past projects, and reveal behind-the-scenes stories from VR game development. Attendees will also have the chance to experience a brand-new immersive VR project, currently kept secret by the studio.
Waving Bear Studio is an award-winning game development studio based in Brighton, specializing in fully immersive VR experiences. Their previous title, Stuffed, is a 4-player online co-op VR shooter and winner of the NYX Game Awards. The studio is dedicated to creating engaging, playful, and memorable immersive worlds that push the boundaries of VR storytelling.
