O.P.E.N support & community
Details
As the nights grow longer, we find ourselves at the time for the last support & community meetup of 2025! November's meetup usually has a good attendance and we're looking forward to seeing you whether you're coming with specific challenges, questions or you're here to help or support others. Everyone is welcome, especially new people!
---
Yorkshire O.P.E.N is a community for people in or curious about ethically non-monogamous relationships.
Once a month we come together to have a chat over some drinks and support each other with building great relationships, in a safe and welcoming environment.
Newcomers are always welcome! We're a friendly community and we have new faces almost every month. If you're nervous about coming along for the first time, get in touch with the organisers and we can arrange to meet you beforehand.
Since the pandemic, all support & community meetups have been happening online on Zoom. It should be the same link every month, which you can find on this event page.
You can join with or without a camera or microphone - if you'd like to just listen or communicate using the text chat, you're welcome to do that. And please feel free to use a fake name.
Please join before 7.30 so you are present when the rules are read out. If you need to arrive later than this, please get in touch and we can accommodate you!
Events often look a bit like this:
7.00: social time (bring your own crafts!)
7.30: introductions and notices
7.45: a chance to air what's on your mind about relationships in a structured way
8.30: break
8.45: support session - a chance for people to help each other with specific questions, problems or concerns, or a topic (decided by the organisers) if no one has a specific support need
9.15: break and social time
9.30: support session continued
10.30: close
If you've not been before, please check out our website: https://www.y-open.org.uk/ which has info about what to expect at a meetup, as well as the basic ground rules we put in place to keep this event a safe space.
Hope to see you all there!
