The Beginner Angler's Course aims to introduce fishing to those interested in trying out fishing or searching for a new hobby. It will be completed within a day on the scenic Lazarus Island, one of Singapore's best kept secrets. You will learn both the basic theory and practical aspects of fishing during a weekend getaway.
Upon completion of the course, you will be able to use a fishing setup confidently and know how to handle a fish that is caught.**No experience required but we do recommend that you do not have any phobia of standing near the sea.**
SCHEDULE:
08:30 am - Gather at Marina South Pier.
09:00 am - Ferry departs Marina South Pier.
09:30 am - Ferry arrives at Lazarus Island
09:45 am - Theory lessons (Beginner Angler's course handbook will be issued)
11:30 am - Lunch break
12:30 pm - Practical lessons part 1
02:00 pm - Break and sharing of fishing experiences among students.
02:30 pm - Practical lessons part 2
04:00 pm - Course quiz to test what you have learnt for the day.
04:30 pm - Ferry departs for mainland.

FISHING EQUIPMENT:
Fishing equipment and accessories are provided free of charge to all students of the fishing academy.(The rods and reels are sponsored by world leading fishing brand, Shimano.)
Students have the option to purchase their own fishing equipment to be used during the course, which includes a Shimano rod and reel with braided lines. As it is a special promotional price, this offer is only limited to one purchase per student (while stock lasts).ATTIRE:
Please wear comfortable clothing as you will be out in nature all day.
Theory lessons are conducted under shelter. You will expect to be seated on the ground during the course. Shorts or pants are recommended.PACKING LIST:
- Drinking water

- Sunglasses
- Small pouch or bag to keep your starter kit
- Raincoat (in case of rain)
- Swim wear if you intend to take a dip in the sea during the breaks (There are no shower facilities but toilet with water hose is available for washing up)

#### Description
This catch-and-cook experience is perfect for newcomers to angling or those just getting started with fishing. It offers the chance to try fishing in the open sea and savour the flavours of your own catch. Fishing will be out at sea around the southern islands of Singapore. All fishing equipment is provided!
#### **Trip Includes:**
- Fishing on board yacht
- Guidance from our fishing instructors
- Mineral water on board
- Bait (live and dead prawns)
- Ice for storage of catch
- Rental of fishing equipment and usage of accessories
- Cleaning of fish caught for BBQ at Lazarus Island

7:00 PM: Meet at 15 Marina Sentosa Cove and board the cruise.
7:20 PM: Set sail along the picturesque Singapore coastline. Enjoy stunning views of the city's iconic landmarks, including Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Flyer, and Gardens by the Bay.
7:40 PM: Delight in the stunning views and the scenic beauty of the city. Iconic Hainanese Chicken Rice and Sugar Cane will be provided for your enjoyment. You can take photos and videos to capture the mesmerizing moments!
8:15 PM: Sail back to Marina Sentosa Cove.
8:30 PM: Arrive at Marina.Please take note:
