Yalla to the Island – Easy Walk, Late Lunch

The city gets loud, the week gets long, but just a short ferry ride away, Toronto Island is waiting for us with open skies and calm energy.
Join us for a full afternoon of wandering, connecting, and discovering the islands in full spring bloom. We’ll walk the loop together, take in views of Lake Ontario, pass beaches, bridges, and sleepy cottages, and let the convo flow along the way.

🗓 The Plan

• Meet at Jack Layton Ferry Terminal at 11:45 AM
• Take the 12:10 PM ferry together (buy tickets online through the City of Toronto site)
• Walk the entire island loop (~8 km, easy pace)
• Stop for pics, chats, and mini breaks
• End the walk at a cozy café or a sunny picnic spot – we’ll decide closer to the date. Options may include:
• The Riviera + Runaway Cafe
• The Island Cafe

⏰ Please be on time!
We’ll gather at 11:45 AM. We won’t be able to wait past 12:00 PM, so please plan ahead and arrive early. Late arrivals or messages after that may not be seen, as we’ll already be on the move.

• Comfy walking shoes
• Water
• Light jacket
• A snack if you want
• Good energy and an open vibe

This is a relaxed, no-pressure hangout. Come solo or bring a friend!

Parking is available nearby:

• One block north at Lakeshore & Bay
• One block west on Queens Quay (between Bay & York)
• One block east, across from the Toronto Star building (1 Yonge St)

🚋 By TTC
From Union Station:

• Take the #6 Bay bus southbound to Bay & Queens Quay
• Or walk directly south to the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal (Bay & Queens Quay)
