What we’re about
Yarra River Dragons (YRD) is a dragon boat team based in Melbourne. We're a really social group and enjoy competing in competitions across Australia and overseas (recent trips to HK and Singapore)!
You don't need any dragon boat experience to join us. Anyone can start dragon boat at any age, we support all team members so everyone can develop their technique and fitness to the best of their abilities.
Everyone is at different stages of their dragon boat life, we have lots of new members joining every year and even a few of the team who represent Australia so you can learn from the best!!
We welcome anyone looking to try a new sport, make new friends, improve your fitness or be part of a sports team. We're a diverse bunch of people from many nationalities and welcome the LGBT community.
