Join us for a day out at London ChessFest in Trafalgar Square!

ChessFest is the UK’s largest free chess festival, bringing together more than 20,000 chess enthusiasts for a fun, friendly day of chess in the heart of London. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned player, there is something for everyone, with plenty of opportunities to play, learn, watch and meet fellow chess lovers. (ChessFest)

You can expect to:

*Play casual games on the hundreds of chess boards available.

• Challenge titled players and watch grandmaster simultaneous exhibitions.
  *Try giant outdoor chess sets.
• Watch entertaining living chess performances and blindfold chess exhibitions.
  *Have a go at speed chess and chess puzzles.
• Meet other members of the London chess community in a relaxed, social atmosphere.

We’ll meet at 1:00 pm and spend the afternoon exploring the festival together until around 5:00 pm. Feel free to arrive later or leave earlier if that suits you.

Afterwards, we’ll head to The Clarence, Whitehall for drinks and more chess chat from 5:00 pm onwards.
