Neurospicy Legends vs Insipid Normies (Eurgh! Boo! Hiss!)
(£3 entry fee to the person running the quiz!)
This is your chance to leave the neurodivergent echo chamber and go head-to-head against the general population, who will arrive on time, sit quietly, and answer questions without a single tangent about Byzantine naval history (my specialist topic).
Frankly it's unsettling.
Team Yay!-DHD rolls in as the Chad ADHDers and Autists: underslept, over-caffeinated, and armed with a terrifying, useless depth of knowledge on exactly three subjects. The neurotypicals will bring "general knowledge." We will bring specific knowledge, deployed at the wrong moment, with total confidence.
We've booked in at the Star of Kings, a venue prepared to watch us lose the sports round while dominating any round that involves obscure taxonomy, niche fandoms, or the entire filmography of a director nobody else has heard of. Somewhere in the room a normie team will finish an entire round without anyone interrupting to explain how interesting the question actually is.
We do not understand this. We do not want to.
Team names will be decided by committee, which means decided by whoever shouts loudest first. If you'd rather not do the forming-a-team-via-vibes thing alone, say so and we'll pair you up, because standing at the edge of a pub hoping to be absorbed into a group is a rite of passage nobody enjoys doing solo.
Prizes are symbolic. Bragging rights are unenforceable but will be enforced anyway, loudly, against any normie team that beats us on a picture round.
