What is Kizomba?
Kizomba is a partner dance and musical genre that originated in Angola. UrbanKiz was created in Paris through a fusion of Kizomba with other styles of dance. As you delve into the world of UrbanKiz, you will see influences from Argentine Tango, Hip Hop, and more recently Brazilian Zouk.
Nikit Lamba and Lena Deschner from Vancouver have trained extensively in Angola, Europe, and North America, gaining both breadth and depth of knowledge in the various sub-styles within Kizomba and UrbanKiz.
We have an exciting weekend planned, allowing everyone to come away with valuable technique to take their Kizomba and UrbanKiz partner dancing to the next level. What's more is that the knowledge gained in this weekender is bound to improve your partner connection within other styles of dance.
