Voices of Yellowstone: First Peoples Celebration

Details
This is a MAJOR OPPORTUNITY for any Members interested in the cultural and historical side of Yellowstone National Park. I chose to post this as a Meetup to give it the attention it well deserves.
We are talking about a weeklong event "VOICES OF YELLOWSTONE: FIRST PEOPLES CELEBRATION". There is not time or space enough for me to detail all the events and participants here, but I will provide some general information and web links to where you can find more specific info.
### This week-long event, hosted by Yellowstone Forever in partnership with Yellowstone National Park and in collaboration with the Pretty Shield Foundation, Rocky Mountain Tribal Leaders Council, and Gardiner Chamber Of Commerce and Visitor Center, aims to honor and celebrate the diverse cultures of the Indigenous Peoples of Yellowstone—past, present, and future.
How's that for some leadership. When you click on the link to the Schedule of Events, published on Yellowstone Forever's website you will see a cavalcade of diverse events featuring representatives of the "Affiliated Tribes" whose oral history provides tacit evidence of their connection to Yellowstone National Park. Besides the illuminated teepees on display each evening, courtesy of the Pretty Shield Foundation, there will be daily educational events, cultural tours, music and speakers, a Native Art Market, and Traditional Native Games.

There is a Gardiner/Mammoth Community Potluck on Friday evening, August 8. Here is a link to the July 23 Gardiner newsletter that announced that event. It is a full page ad on page 6.

For any Meetup Members opting to attend the potluck, please do not forget to bring a side dish. Be creative. If you do not possess an abundance of baking or cooking skills, you can always pick something up at a deli or a grocery store in the gateway communities.
We have many relatively new Members, and I particularly want to invite them to attend this celebration whenever their schedule allows.
I may schedule a more conventional Meetup or two that take place during this celebration. Those are works in progress and will be published once I have reliable weather forecasts. I have some personal activities that are short-fused, and I have to try and work around them.
There is no need to RSVP to this Meetup post. If you plan to attend the celebration on a particular day, and would like to rendezvous with other Meetup Members, feel free to initiate a discussion on the main page of the Meetup.
