Event Details:

Join us for an unforgettable hike up Mt. Washburn, one of Yellowstone’s most scenic spots! This moderately challenging trail offers sweeping views, wildlife sightings, and an iconic Yellowstone experience.

Hike Overview:
• Trail: Mt. Washburn via Dunraven Pass
• Distance: ~6 miles round-trip
• Elevation Gain: ~1,400 feet
• Difficulty: Moderate
• Estimated Duration: ~4-6 hours including summit break

What to Bring:
✅ At least 2 liters of water
✅ Snacks or lunch for the summit
✅ Layered clothing (mornings are cool, afternoons can be warm)
✅ Sun protection: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
✅ Bear spray (strongly recommended)
✅ Sturdy hiking footwear
✅ Trekking poles (optional)
✅ Camera or binoculars

Weather:
Expect temperatures ranging from the 30s °F early morning to the 50s–80s midday. Afternoon thunderstorms are common, so our plan is to be back at the trailhead by early afternoon.
