About us

About Us
Yeru Asheville is a Yungdrung Bön meditation and community group located in Asheville, NC.

We practice meditation in the Tibetan Yungdrung Bön spiritual tradition, as taught by our teacher, Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche.

All respectful, curious folks are welcome. Families are also welcome.

Our work supports the community of spiritual and healing practitioners of Asheville, and simultaneously works to raise funds for Bon Children's Home in Dolanji, India. Learn more at yeruboncenter.org and bonchildrenshome.org.

When?
We get together from 7–8pm one Tuesday each month for meditation practice and discussion. We'll announce each specific Tuesday a few weeks in advance.

What to Expect

  • Time for tea, conversation, and community
  • Traditional Bön practice (chanting, meditation, etc.)
  • Discussion about Bön

Our Tradition
Yeru Asheville is part of the Yeru Bön Center, practicing under the guidance of Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche. We maintain traditional Yungdrung Bön practice, following the authentic texts, including varied practice paths of Sutra, Tantra, and Dzogchen.

New to Bön?
No experience is necessary. Come with curiosity and an open heart. You’re welcome to participate at your own pace.
