### Own Your Power: 4 Lessons from Women Who Built, Adapted & Grew is Part 2 of our Women Who Built It: 9 Business Lessons from 9 Women Entrepreneurs series.

Building a business isn't only about having the right business model. It also requires the confidence to communicate your value, resilience when things don't go according to plan, relationships that open doors, and the ability to adapt as your business evolves.

In this interactive Lunch & Learn, we'll explore the journeys of Liliane Colpron, Sophia Amoruso, Arlene Dickinson, and Manjit Minhas. Through their experiences of pitching, rejection, reinvention, partnerships, resilience, and growth, we'll examine four lessons that highlight the human side of entrepreneurship and what it takes to keep moving forward when the path isn't always clear.

Using their stories as practical examples, we'll explore confidence, resilience, relationships, and adaptability while gaining a deeper understanding of the capabilities that support long-term entrepreneurial success.

You'll leave with practical insights and thought-provoking questions to help identify your own strengths, support networks, and next steps.

### What You'll Learn

Participants will:

  • Explore confidence and resilience as entrepreneurial capabilities.
  • Learn how entrepreneurs navigate rejection, uncertainty, and setbacks.
  • Understand the role of networks, partnerships, and relationships in business growth.
  • Explore how personal identity and lived experience can shape an entrepreneurial journey.
  • Reflect on their own strengths, gaps, and support networks.
  • Learn how the Business Model Canvas can help connect these elements.

### Why Attend?

A business model can tell you what a business does, but it doesn't tell the whole entrepreneurial story.
Entrepreneurs also need to communicate, negotiate, build relationships, recover from setbacks, and make decisions when there is no clear answer. These capabilities can have a major impact on whether a business moves forward.
Through real examples rather than abstract theory, this session invites participants to look at entrepreneurship more holistically and recognize that there is no single profile or pathway to entrepreneurial success.
