Hike Baden Theresienwarte, ruins of Rauheneck and Königshöhle

On Sunday, 15.06.2025, I am planning a longer circular hike from Baden train station via the Theresienwarte, past the ruins of Rauhenstein (closed until 2026), visit the freely accessible ruins of Rauheneck and the impressive Königshöhle and walk back to Baden train station.

Length of the tour: approx. 15km
Duration: approx. 5-6h
Altitude difference: approx. 400m up and down

We meet in Vienna Meidling at 8:50 a.m. at the latest at the ticket machines or seats of the ÖBB lounge and leave platform 1 together at 9:02 a.m. Everyone has to buy their own ticket. If it's better for you, you can also go to Baden without stopping in Meidling and meet us in Baden trainstation at 9:14 a.m. at platform 1.

Hiking start: Baden train station at 9:14h
Return: Baden train station at approx. 15h (trains run about every 10 minutes).

Everyone has to bring their own food and drink (at least 1.5 liters), as we will not stop for a bite to eat. We take breaks to rest and eat as needed.

My hikes and mountain hikes are free of charge and purely private joint leisure events. I am not a certified hiking or mountain guide. Participation is at your own responsibility and risk.
