YFNA Kite Day

Details
Please join the Monmouth County Your Friendly Neighborhood Atheists (YFNA) and the Red Bank Humanists for a windy afternoon of Kite Flying on the Long Branch beach on Saturday, September 26th (Rain Date will be Sunday, September 27th). We will be gathering on the beach at the north end of Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park. Please park in the parking lot associated with the skate boarding park, Skateplex, on Atlantic Ave., near the Branded Skate Shop. From there you can get access to the beach, right across Ocean Ave. There are public bathrooms located next to that parking lot, if you need.
Please bring a kite, or better yet, build a kite and bring that one. Check the weather and dress appropriately to stay warm and comfortable. Also, bring a beach blanket or chair, snacks and drinks (extra points for hot drinks in a thermos).
And always remember,... Safety First. Wear a mask. Also, whether you are flying alone or in a busy park, it is good to remember the 3 C's of kite safety: Caution. Courtesy, and Common Sense. Parks, beaches, and playgrounds can be crowded, with many different activities competing for space. It is each kite flier's responsibility to fly safely so that we continue to be welcome at our favorite windy places.
No pets.
