Introduction to Yin-Yang Feminism: Finding Balance Between Women and Men
Details
Join us for the first session of our new online discussion series, Yin-Yang Feminism: Gender Equality for Women and Men.
This introductory workshop will explore the roots of Yin-Yang Feminism, a philosophy that views women and men not as adversaries but as partners in balance.
Drawing from cross-cultural experiences, research and ancient wisdom, this workshop presents a vision of gender equality based on harmony between masculine and feminine energies.
In this module we look at the history of Anglo-American feminism. The sentiments expressed in the first feminist convention in 1848, help us to better understand how we arrived at today’s polarized gender divide.
Men and women have always carried different burdens, different risks, and different protections.
Yin-Yang Feminism creates a foundation of equality for women and men based on ancient Eastern philosophy. The yin and yang symbolize balance: masculine and feminine energies, different but complementary. Instead of an adversarial model that divides, it’s a cooperative model that seeks balance and mutual respect.
