Sonja first came in touch with Yoga in 2010 and is teaching Yin Yoga and Somatic Inquiry since 2019. She is currently based in Frankfurt and hosts classes, workshop and retreats internationally. Inspired by her own journey, her work is based on the understanding, that tension and imbalance in our body-mind are the consequence if thoughts, beliefs and actions are not aligned with who we authentically are. In her offerings she creates welcoming spaces that allow people to slow down, release tension and connect with the body and inherent creativity. Central themes include embodiment techniques (sensing, movement and breath), guided inquiry around the stories we hold inside and how to live more from the heart. Her style is soft, yet demanding, infused with time-relevant wisdom and spirituality.

✨What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a marriage of Yoga and meditation. Poses are held between 3-5 Minutes, which allows for the stretches to permeate the deeper connective tissues. Skillfully taught is a very effective practice for multiple benevolent effects. I often hear from my students that they feel more relaxed, grounded and energized after Yin Yoga practice.

The practice provides many benefits, some of which are:

➳ Hydrates the body = makes the skin look younger
➳ Stimulates the body‘s self-healing capacity
