Drone Makers: Maker Space Open House

Details
Drone Makers! (Event for ages 18 years and older)
Drone makers from RatRace FPV and RotorGeeks will be giving a talk and demos on how they build and enhance flying drones for racing, for stunts and for fun.
We'll cover different aspects of the sport, legal and expected rules. and we'll have different models on show. We'll have an overview of how amateur radio licensing can be required.
We'll cover some of the materials and techniques used - 3D printing, even carbon fibre!
We'll have FPV (first-person view) simulators so you can experience flying without damaging anything.
Ylab Maker Space's bi-weekly open house events at the DDO feature a technical talk for 60-90 minutes, followed by a visit to maker space and workshop to see our facilities, our laser cutter, 3D printers and other tools, and to meet some our our members and see some of the projects we've built.
Come out for another great opportunity meet other makers, to see our maker space, and to visit the David Dunlap Observatory site.
Please note: 18 year+ event. This event is focused on member and potential members for the Y Lab maker group. We love kids (many of us have our own), but this event is not for them.
