Hike Xueshan in Spring

Details

Xueshan, a wonderful introduction to Taiwan's High Mountains! We are skipping Winter this year for the Spring Flowers! This programme is a 3 day walk with altitude and 2 night stay in 369 Cabin. We end off in Taipei for some well-deserved city slicking post trek. Do allow us to celebrate Labour Day with you!

Standing at a height of 3,886m (12,749ft), Xue Shan (雪山) or Snow Mountain, is the second highest mountain in Taiwan and the highest point of the Syue Mountain Range which stretches northeast to southwest across Taiwan. The magnificent peak is located in Shei-Pa National Park (雪霸 国家公园) which is slightly north of central Taiwan, covering an area of 76,850hectares. Shei – Pa National Park is also home to 50 other mountains above 3000meters. The mountain and the trek is one of the most beautiful in Taiwan. On the way to the peak, we will stop by the Eastern Peak, trek through the beautiful Black Forest!

This trek is not a technical trek but due to the high altitude, it can be a tough hike for some. You will be required to carry your own load, our porter will carry the group’s communal equipment and the guides will prepare hot meals during the trek, and we will take refuge at 369 Cabin for 2 nights.

Check out the fun we had in our previous trip here!
