Paddle the Shrewsbury

Discover the perfect paddleboarding escape in the Shrewsbury Inlet, one of New Jersey’s hidden coastal gems. Nestled under Sandy Hook, this scenic waterway offers calm, protected waters ideal for both beginners and experienced paddlers. Glide past marsh grasses, spot local wildlife like ospreys and herons, and take in panoramic views of the the Shrewsbury. We may also see some dolphin or seal, but I can't promise anything.

We'll start in secret beach at the west end of Pocano Ave in Oceanport. It is also called Seawaneka Ave. Go figure. There's a nice little gravel parking lot and everything. Bring your paddleboard, kayak. We'll go over to see the islands, nice houses, and other stuff. We can even land on Rumson, if we feel like it.

Then, we can go have lunch, if you're up.
