Berry Glen Trail to Lady Bird Loop
Details
Come on along for a beautiful & challenging hike through a gorgeous old growth forest dominated by Redwoods & Douglas Fir.
We’ll start at the roomy dirt pull off/ parking area to the right, just past the first house on the right, after Orick.
If you get to the road for Gold Bluffs beach, use it to turn around, as you have gone too far😉
The hike itself will be a steady 2.3 mile climb of 1,300’ to the Lady Bird Johnson Grove loop trail, which is the flattest portion of the trail. The loop itself is 0.8 miles & was dedicated to Lady Bird in 1969 for her extensive environmental conservation work & specifically for her efforts to help save the last remaining old growth Redwood Forests in the 1960s.
& back down the way we came!
5.6 miles &
1,300’ elevation gain total
