Chi Gong (usually spelled “Qigong”) is an ancient Chinese practice that combines movement, breathing, and meditation to improve health and balance the body’s energy.
### 🌿 What does the name mean?
- “Qi” (chi) = life energy or vital force
- “Gong” = skill or practice
👉 So, Qigong means “cultivating or working with life energy.”

### 🧘♂️ What do you do in Qigong?
Qigong exercises are usually:
- Slow, gentle movements
- Deep, controlled breathing
- Focused, calm awareness
This is a standing practice

People practice Qigong to:
- Reduce stress and anxiety
- Improve flexibility and balance
- Boost energy and circulation
- Support overall physical and mental health
It’s often compared to Tai Chi, but Qigong is usually simpler and more focused on internal energy rather than martial arts.
