Welcome to (Raleigh) Yoga Socials!
This group was designed centered around community and obviously yoga :).
So if you're looking for new friends and some socialization centered around movement, you've come to the right place!
Is this for you?
The classes themselves are designed for people beginning or level 1/2 householder yogis.
(householder simply means you're not a monk living in an ashram devoting your life to yoga, which is the traditional meaning of yogi).
If you're looking to improve your strength and flexibility all in one these are the classes for you! While the classes are not centered around inversions and handstands the tools given in these classes are the foundations for all yoga practices. You'll find joy in the immediate feeling of accomplishment at the end of class and notice how you quickly escalate in skill as you continue to practice with us. Best of all, then you get to hang out with everyone doing the same thing right after!
Are you looking for something more on the mental side?
Classes do include pranayama/breathing exercises, as well as intention setting, and a time for meditation.
We want to create a safe and sustainable practice for everyone that can potentially become a daily habit and promote a healthy mental state with an overall positive impact on your lifestyle.
