Welcome to Yoga @ the Park, where the serenity of nature meets the joy of yoga. Our journey began with the simple yet powerful idea of creating an inclusive space for everyone, fostering physical movement, growth, and community connections.
Yoga Styles and Philosophies: Our primary focus is on Vinyasa yoga, accompanied by a touch of Yin. We believe in blending the fluidity of movement with the deep relaxation that comes from embracing stillness. Our unique approach encourages holistic wellness and personal growth, on and off the mat.
Goals and Intentions: Our primary goal is to create a supportive community that motivates each member to practice and connect both on and off the mat. We believe that yoga is a path to stress relief, physical fitness, and spiritual growth, and we're committed to helping our members achieve these objectives.
Yoga Sessions: Our yoga sessions take place outdoors during the summer months, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the natural beauty that surrounds them. In the colder months, we transition to online classes, ensuring that our members can continue their practice year-round.
Instructors: Adriana Ortiz, a Yoga Alliance certified instructor, leads our sessions. Her laid-back and casual teaching approach creates a welcoming environment where everyone feels at ease.
Atmosphere and Environment: When you attend a session, you can expect an invigorating asana class that challenges you, yet also offers the freedom to take breaks and modify poses as needed. Our sessions are characterized by a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere.
Specialized Classes and Workshops: In addition to our regular sessions, we offer specialized workshops, such as hip-opening workshops, and charity classes that support organizations like the Women's Center of NC and Second Chance Pet Adoptions.
Community and Connection: To foster a strong sense of community, we organize yoga challenges where members can participate, share their accomplishments, and even win prizes. These challenges provide opportunities to connect with fellow practitioners and stay motivated.
Special Events, Retreats, and Initiatives: We host charity classes every three months, giving back to the community while deepening our connection with each other.
Values and Principles: Our core values include inclusivity, welcoming individuals of all levels and backgrounds, and embracing both English and Spanish speakers. We believe in the power of unity and diversity to guide our members on their yoga journey.
