Charity yoga class

Join me this Saturday for an impromptu fundraiser to benefit families in Jiquilillo, Nicaragua! I am a 200-hour-certified yoga instructor and this will be an all-levels vinyasa class, open to all ages and experience.

Nicaragua has been experiencing unrest since April, when university students in Managua engaged in political protests and the situation escalated into violence. In Jiquilillo, many families rely on jobs in tourism to support their families and most hotels/hostels are currently closed as warnings of violence have kept tourists away. I will be visiting my friends in Nicaragua next week and bringing much-needed money for food staples and other items. 100% of cash donated during this class will be spent in Nicaragua on necessities for Nicaraguan children and families. Minimum suggested donation $10.

Please consider also bringing an item of clothing or washable diapers for a newborn baby boy and 1 1/2 year old girl whose young mothers are now unemployed. Thank you!!
