What we’re about
YogaHike Sonoma blends vinyasa flow yoga and hiking for a new way to deepen your practice and your relationship with nature.
This is an All Levels class and beginners are welcome. YogaHike Sonoma experiences usually last about 2 hours and take place in variety of scenic locations (parks, beaches, meadows, hilltops) around Sonoma County. We meet up to two weekend mornings per month from late spring through early fall. Locations will be announced here and on our Facebook and Instagram pages @yogahikesonoma.
A YogaHike Sonoma experience ranges from $20 - $50, depending on where we're going and what we're doing. Contributions go toward conceiving and coordinating each YogaHike destination and bringing more amazing yoga classes outdoors (or in spectacular indoor locations during the winter) to more people.
YogaHike Sonoma is founded by Carla Hebert, RYT-200. Carla received her primary yoga teach 6-month training at the ShambhavAnanda School of Yoga & Shoshoni Yoga Ashram located in the Rocky Mountains near Boulder, Colorado. Teaching since 2001, Carla blends a slow vinyasa flow (a moving meditation linking body and breath) with an alignment-based practice to bring strength, balance and mindfulness both on and off the mat. She approaches the practice of yoga with creativity and joy, drawing inspiration and continuous learning from the the Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga traditions. Carla is currently pursuing her 500-hour advanced yoga teacher certification at Mount Madonna Institute in Watsonville, CA.
