Generative AI is amazing, but its cost to Earth is huge: water, energy, and forests are gone. This isn't distant news; it is already threatening my hometown, Hokkaido. (AIは水を飲み干して、電気需要圧迫して、森を破壊する、どうする？というテーマです)

A semiconductor factory and data centre have destroyed forests in Hokkaido, where my family and I used to enjoy bird watching🦢 My parents started buying bottled water to secure safe water, which is pretty normal in Tokyo but not in beautiful Hokkaido😨

The government says, "No worries, compensation is covered by taxes if your health is impacted". Wait! Once our health gets affected, it sometimes affects generation after generation, eh?

Having said that, AI(especially LLM) is damn attractive. Then, how can we take advantage of AI while protecting nature?
