Yomikai Reading Party Vol. 5

It's time for the 5th Yomikai reading party! Last month's event was great! Let's keep it going! We'll meet at the Kamo River again! This will be the last Yomikai of 2024 so let's finish the year strong!

Let's meet on the south side of the Marutamachi bridge. See the map for details, or feel free to ask if you're not sure where to go!

What do we actually do at a Yomikai event?
Yomikai reading parties are events for people who want to make some more time for reading in their life and be social at the same time! We have some structured reading time in which everyone sits and quietly enjoys their own book which they brought with them, and then group discussion where people get to know each other and talk about what they're reading! Bring something to read and get excited to make new friends and learn about other books you might be interested in!

What you should bring:

• a book or magazine or something to read for an hour,
• drinks or snacks for yourself (there is also a supermarket and convenience store nearby)

(in the case of rain, it will be postponed to the following day, Sunday, Dec. 1)

読み会では実際にどんなことをするの?
読み会は、読書に時間を割きたいと思っている人たちが集まるイベントです。 参加者はそれぞれ自分の本を持参し、座って静かに読書を楽しむ時間があります。その後、グループディスカッションを行い、お互いを知り合い、読んでいる本について語り合います。読みたい本を持って参加し、新しい友達を作り、興味のありそうな他の本について学んでみましょう!

持ち物:

• 1時間程度読める本や雑誌など、
• 各自の飲み物やおやつ(近くにスーパーやコンビニもあります)

(雨天の場合は翌日の12月1日(日)に延期)
