A failing writer, a cockney butcher and a slave, all tangled up in a Victorian courtroom drama, and based on real events. This sounds like an interesting read and hopefully will lead to some good discussion!

This sounds delicious - Mrs Hawkins works in publishing...until she tells a budding author that he 'urinates frightful prose' that is...relating the story many years later, and far from Kensington, this promises blackmail, poison pen letters and much more! Sounds like fun to me
