York Code Dojo August 2025 - Why Functional Programming Matters

This month we will be implementing some of the code in the classic "Why Functional Programming Matters" paper by John Hughes.

For beginners this will be chance to be introduced to the functional programming style and to experience the beauty of using recursive to solve problems.

As usual we will be working in small groups making the evening suitable for both beginners and experienced developers.

If possible please bring a laptop with your programming language of choice installed.

NOTE: Refreshments will be provided :-) On RSVP please could we ask you to make us aware of any food allergies prior to your attendance.
