đź‘» Spirits & Scenic Views: Easy Haunted Hike to Chickies Rock Overlook

Details
This October, take a scenic stroll with a supernatural twist as we head to Chickies Rock Overlook—one of the most famously haunted natural sites in Pennsylvania. With a short, easy 1-mile roundtrip trail and a rich history of ghostly lore, this outing blends autumn beauty with eerie intrigue.
The wide, gently sloping path winds through the woods above the old canal and leads straight to the towering cliffs of Chickies Rock. This is where legend says a heartbroken woman leapt to her death—and where several canal workers are said to have died in tragic accidents below. Some hikers have reported hearing cries on the wind, feeling sudden cold spots, or glimpsing fleeting figures near the edge of the overlook.
Don’t worry, though—the spirits are said to be more sorrowful than sinister. And the hike itself? Peaceful and beginner-friendly. 🍂 It’s the perfect low-key fall outing, whether you’re here for the views, the ghost stories, or just some fresh air and conversation.
💬 All paces welcome—feel free to linger under the trees, pause for fall photos, or simply enjoy the walk. We’ll take our time and soak in the spooky serenity.
