Join York & Beyond for a step back in time at World War II Weekend: A Gathering of Warbirds, hosted by the Mid Atlantic Air Museum. This nationally known event brings WWII history to life with vintage warbirds, immersive reenactor encampments, historic vehicles, and living-history displays spread across the grounds.

We’ll be attending Saturday only, giving us plenty of time to explore at a relaxed pace — walk through the encampments, see aircraft up close (both static and flying), talk with reenactors, and take in one of the most unique WWII events in the country. Whether you’re a history buff, aviation fan, or just enjoy experiential outings, this is a fascinating and memorable day trip.
