PLEASE REFER TO COMMENTS POSTED FOR CHEAPER PARKING OPTION. WALK START POINT REMAINS THE SAME THOUGH.

A pleasant untaxing walk following the river Nidd along woodland trails from Knaresborough as far as the old viaduct and returning via Old Bilton and a quiet country lane.

Although this is a morning walk, you may wish to bring a packed lunch with you (as well as snacks/drinks) and you can then consume your lunch sat by the riverbank after the walk. Alternatively, pub meals will be available at the Worlds End pub.

The pub is directly opposite the car park at Conyngham Hall and this will be our meet point. If you pay £3 this will cover you for four hours but you may wish to pay an extra £1, depending on what you intend to do on completion of the walk. Toilets available at the entrance to the car park.

The walk will be led at a steady pace: not too fast, not too slow. Please be ready to start walking at the advertised time.

Walk fee: £3. No dogs please.

I have no formal walk leader or first-aid qualifications and the Group does not have insurance. When you RSVP for any walk, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times. You are required to respect the walk leader and be mindful of the safety of others. Please keep to the pace of the Group and don’t go off ahead even if you think you know the route.
