Exploring York - 3.25 miles

A twisting, turning, meandering course through York’s narrow streets, gardens and quiet corners before wiling away the rest of the evening in one of York’s many watering holes !

The walk will be led at a steady pace: not too fast, not too slow. Please be ready to start walking at the advertised time.

Walk fee: £2. No dogs please.

Meet in Exhibition Square (diagonally opposite the Theatre Royal and near the junction with Bootham Bar) - see photo. Postcode is YO1 7EW.

For those travelling from outside of York, there are car parks available for a flat evening fee of £4.

After-walk refreshment at the Fat Badger (formerley the Lamb & Lion) since its the closest of the many pubs to our finish point and, if the weather is pleasant, we can sit outside.

I have no formal walk leader or first-aid qualifications and the Group does not have insurance. When you RSVP for any walk, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times. You are required to respect the walk leader and be mindful of the safety of others. Please keep to the pace of the Group and don’t go off ahead even if you think you know the route.
