Ripon Treasure Hunt

Welcome to the Ripon Treasure Hunt, spend your day running around Ripon like a caffeinated squirrel, solving clues, dodging pigeons, and trying not to get distracted by the smell of Greggs sausage rolls! Bold move. You’ve officially signed up for the most thrilling, brain-bending, leg-stretching adventure Ripon has seen since someone tried to parallel park outside Booths during market day.

Your mission? Follow the clues. Solve the riddles. Avoid suspicious stares from locals who think you’re part of a very confusing flash mob.
You’ll encounter challenges that will test your wits, your patience, and possibly your bladder.

WARNING: Some clues may require actual thinking. Others may just be a poorly disguised excuse to make you walk in a circle for ten minutes.

Key rules:

• No bribing locals for answers. Unless they offer first.
• No fighting over who gets to hold the map. We all know it’ll end up upside down anyway.
• Yes, you may take dramatic selfies at every clue. It’s basically a tradition.

So grab your team, grab your snacks, and brace yourself for mild confusion, medium physical activity, and maximum chaos.
The puzzles await—probably slightly off from where the clue says it is.

What to expect:
Distance: This trail is still being brewed but it will be between 3 miles long. Mainly on well troden footpaths. A few inclines and steps to be expected.
Start: The starting point is Ripon Market Place, but this may change, so do check back before the event.
How: As usual with our trails you will break out into groups. Armed with maps, clue sheets and a keen sense of direction (optional), you will set off on your adventure. Its a great way to meet new people and get included in the fun.
Finish: Afterwards join us at a local watering hole to discuss your findings!

Boring bit: As with all the my events, I am asking for a donation of £3 to be paid on the day. This is to cover the costs of paper, print and MeetUp fees etc. Any remainder will be donated to MIND and Dementia UK.
